Hi there,
I hope this newsletter finds you well as we move into the festive season: a time that can feel equally magical and overwhelming! I’ve got a few updates to share, a little music news, and some thoughts on finding balance during this busy time of year.
My New Release "I want to Know What Love Is"
This week, I released my cover of the iconic Foreigner song, “I Want to Know What Love Is.” This song has been close to my heart for as long as I can remember. My mum loves it, I love it, and even as a kid, I felt nostalgic listening to it—how does a kid even feel nostalgia? It's one of those rare songs that truly captures emotion, love, longing, and intensity.
Recording this cover was a real pleasure, especially with two incredibly talented people, Chris Mulligan and Charlie Isaac. Initially, we envisioned it as a stripped-back live version—just Charlie playing the keys beautifully while I sang. But as we worked on it, Chris suggested adding a drumbeat, and the track naturally evolved into the version you hear today.
I didn’t plan for it to release in December, but now it feels so fitting. For me, this time of year is about connection, and this song feels perfect for a festive playlist. Speaking of which, I’ve created a soulful festive playlist that I think you’ll love! If that sounds like your vibe, check it out and enjoy some cozy, feel-good tunes.
You can listen to my new cover and, if you like it, add it to your playlists & give me a follow on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube—whatever your platform of choice is. Your support really means so much! 💛

Slowing Down to Wrap Up the Year
As I wrap up the year, I’m trying to balance the busyness of work with intentional rest. This time of year always seems hectic—why does December feel like such a sprint? Between content shoots, editing, and pitching my songs to playlists and radio, it’s a lot, but I’m learning to pace myself and not let the overwhelm take over.
This year, I’m making a conscious effort to choose the events and gatherings that truly speak to me. By saying “yes” only to the things I genuinely want to attend, I can show up with a full cup, be present, and enjoy them more.
I do want to have some fun and celebrate the year of course!
Well-Being Tip: Rest as You Go
My little well-being thought for this newsletter: rest as you go.
Even if your week is packed, look for small ways to carve out time for yourself. Maybe it’s waking up 30 minutes earlier to have a quiet moment before the day begins. Or turning off all tech at 8:30pm for an early night.
Here are a couple of ideas:
- Take your lunch break fully, and use it to recharge—mindful eating, a walk outside, or simply stepping away from screens can make a big difference.
- Listen to your body. This is a time of year when our natural rhythms call for slowing down, even though the festive season often demands the opposite.
It’s not always easy to strike the balance, but even small steps can help. Personally, I’m aiming for a happy medium: honoring my body’s need to rest while still embracing the fun and connection this season brings.
